How to use and maintain fishing rods?

Fishing rods are relatively expensive fishing gear, and anglers must take care of their fishing rods like soldiers take care of weapons. Accidental damage to fishing rods is mostly caused by improper use by anglers. Correct operation and standardized fishing methods can extend the service life of fishing rods.

Usage Notes

Both regular manufacturers and high-end fishing rods have instructions for the maximum submerged cable. Strictly follow the requirements for the use of the submerged cable. Even if you catch very large fish or occasionally hang it at the bottom, after cutting the submerged cable forcefully, the fishing rod is protected. So don't arbitrarily increase the strength of the line.

Do not lift the fishing rod too hard, try to avoid lifting the fish directly to the shore, and lift the hooked fish to the surface of the water. It should be pulled, big fish must slip, and the use of codes for insufficient slipping will reduce the strength of the pole everywhere. If you need to adjust the float position during fishing, be sure to close the fishing rod first, hold the upper part of the fishing line on the float seat with one hand, and pull the space bean and float seat with the other hand to avoid force on the fishing rod. If there are big fish in the fishing area, the fishing rod should be equipped with a release line to prevent the big fish from pulling the fishing rod away and causing unwanted trouble.

It is best to use a clean soft cloth to wipe both the hand pole and the sea pole when closing them. Prevent soil and water stains from entering the pole wall, causing wear and scratches on the paint.

The metal clip on the connecting rod should be kept away from water to prevent rusting.

When fishing, attention should also be paid to preventing stepping on the fishing rod on the ground. Prevent the fish from dragging the fishing rod and rubbing against the ground, and support the fishing rod to prevent the fish from being dragged into the water. All of these are commonplace and should be noted by anglers.

Some anglers always use force to lift the fishing rod or pick it up and then lift it again after the hook is caught by debris at the bottom of the fishing rod. This is a very wrong action, which may break the fishing rod, or cause the interface to break or the mouth to loosen. If the hook is hanging, you can grab the thread with your hands and stretch it. If you still can't pull it, you can wrap the thread around your waist and then move it backwards. Of course, this is either because the hook is broken or the thread is lost, which is an inevitable action.

Stretch the fishing rod section and do not squat on the ground, as this will easily cause cracks in the squatting interface. When fishing, although the fishing rod has good flexibility, it should not be thrown forcefully to prevent the rod from breaking.
